I must say .... your logic is rather bonkers. First you say the waters above the expanse/sky/ firmament..... cannot logically be there and then you push it to the end of the universe ... Now you've created a massive problem,, when the flood comes, the bible says the waters above were released or cascaded and fell down... so the water canopy is needed,,, remember many planets have been observed with gaseous outer layers, we all know that water has very unique laws of dinamics.... so let's put the waters back where God had them,,, above 'the sky' so that there was a visible expanse... now we have some water for the flood....... ok .... nice..... So how do the celestial bodies appear on the firmament looking from below.?...... well, 2 days have passed since the waters were divided right, .... so.....remember the beginning of day one ' God created the heaven.s and the earth, let's interpret this as the whole universe with all the heavenly bodies but the light could not get through the thick gaseous layers that at that time extended right onto the waters,,, now it makes much more sense because now God says 'let there be light' .... this could very well be because God separated the waters above and below the sky... so now the vapour is much higher and more spread out in diameter and therefore also with less depth.... so now from God's perspective as stated in the beginning ... after his spirit moved over the dark water,, he decreed light to come through..... and the gas became more translucent, but not yet clear enough to see the details of the celestial bodies...... this makes much more sense because,, he doesn't say he 'created' the celestial bodies... but makes them simply appear on/through the gaseous waters above...... which have now become clearer or maybe even frozen,,,, this would allow the details of the passing celestial bodies to be more clearly seen. What one “feels” or “thinks” vs The Word of God are 2 different things. There are several scriptures that address this topic, but 1 Timothy 2: 12-14 probably says it best. In the beginning human DNA was perfect and in no way corrupted. Sin corrupted the DNA. Seems science is proving that. Things one generation does can effect following generations. It's been a bit problematic for me that my children would be punished for my sins. That said, would it be possible or likely that if children broke from the sins of the father, say smoking, that they would be as harmed by the habit as the father or mother and likewise their children would also be healthier? I think yes, definitely. At least over time the effects of smoking would diminish in future generations.
